The Ishmaels Simply Serving is a helps ministry with a global call to come alongside established mission and ministry works to help them fulfill their God-given strategic vision to reach the lost and disciple the nations for Jesus Christ.
Called to missions in 2000, they began full-time ministry work in 2012 serving in northern Guatemala with the job of managing a major hospital construction project to completion. The founding directors of that ministry went on to successfully establish an accredited bible school and partnered with other area missionaries in a church plant in an unreached community.
As they serve alongside others, whether in practical helps or through direct ministry and bible teaching, their heartbeat is to see all people come to know Jesus Christ and to grow in relationship with him.
Married in 1979, Rod and De have three married children and nine grandchildren.
