And the Rains Came a Tumbling Down

A recent outreach project the Shalom team helped with involved installation of a clean water system for a rural community not far from where we live.  The project originated from a request by the village school teacher to have a source of clean water for the children while attending class. It's a lovely little aldea of 30 or so families, tucked back around a mountain and up a gravel road in a one-way-in-same-way-out kind of way.

Your generosity helped complete the funding needed to make this a reality. (THANK YOU!) The water system captures and filters rain water, and it just so happened that the clouds opened up just as we finished.   *smiles*

One special blessing of the outing came while watching Nineth and Tiffany minister to the children the truth of how much God loves them and that He made them each for a unique purpose. He made them special.

Another little nugget of goodness came when Dave and Jan discovered that the fĂștbol uniforms they brought to distribute just happened to be the right number. Not only that, but Dave learned the school  had a game the very next week and didn't know what they were going to do for uniforms. Talk about a real life example of -- "God thinks you're special."

Cool how God's timing is always spot on, huh?

Thank you so much for being a part of what God is doing here in Guatemala. Your support, prayers and love strengthen us daily to continue...

Simply serving,
Rod & De Ishmael
